How To Draw A Sunglasses
How to Draw cute Cartoon Sunglasses using transparency
In this tutorial, I will show you how to draw cartoon sunglasses! They have the ability to block the sun, to give you a nice look or a bad attitude!
Sunglasses are evolving rapidly and old designs are coming back, for the best or for the worst! In this tutorial, I will show you how to draw nice sunglasses with an actual design and some easy to reproduce lighting effects!
Step 1
First, draw two nice oval shapes to illustrate the lenses of your sunglasses. Don't draw them too close or too far apart! You must keep enough space to include an imaginary nose!
Step 2
Now let's sketch the frame of your sunglasses! First, add a small curved line between the lenses to create the nose bridge. For the frame itself, just add a long rectangle with a smaller one on the far end.
Step 3
Work on the outline of the lenses. You can add a small frame around each of them. You can also draw a thicker nose bridge.
Step 4
Finally, refine the frame to complete the sketching part of your illustration.
Step 5
Color the frame of your sunglasses in black.
Step 6
Next, add some color on the lenses. In this case, I added a little gradient effect by using two colors (a dark blue and a light red).
Step 7
Finally, you can also create a small and subtle reflection effect on the lenses. I understand that these special effects are harder to create by hand than using a vector software like I do. So it's up to you to use such an effect or not! I hope you had fun following this drawing tutorial. More fun lessons can be found below. Have fun and keep drawing! :)
